Online booking - General terms and conditions for booking activities

Jøklagutane AS is responsible for you as a customer when you book your experience through us. We ensure that you receive the necessary information before you travel and contact you if there are significant changes to your booking. We are available by phone and email if you need to contact us before or during your trip. Contact information can be found on the website.

Customers who make a booking are assumed to have read and understood the information in the order confirmation about each product ordered.

Payment - Online booking

The order is not approved until the full amount has been paid. Our cancellation policies are as follows:

  • If a customer cancels an activity more than 14 days before the event, 95% of the paid amount is refunded.
  • If a customer cancels an activity between 14-0 days before, 0% of the amount paid is refunded.

For customers who cancel or fail to attend an activity due to travel limitations such as delayed trains, illness, etc., our cancellation policies listed above still apply. The customer is responsible for contacting their travel insurance company for a refund of the amount paid.

For corporate customers who pay by invoice, the cancellation conditions apply regardless of whether the booking has been prepaid within the deadline on the invoice. All changes/cancellations must be made 14 days before arrival.

We reserve the right to make typographical errors and that prices on the internet may contain errors due to technical reasons.

If Jøklagutane cancels an activity, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded, but  Jøklagutane is NOT responsible for travel, accommodation, or any other expenses the customer incurs in connection with the booked activity. Customers must contact their insurance company for any reimbursement.

Responsibility / insurance / health

We recommend that all customers booking with Jøklagutane has appropriate travel insurance to protect against unexpected costs from illness, travel cancellations or delays.

The customer is responsible for:

  • To assess whether they are physically and mentally fit to participate in the booked activity.
  • To have the right equipment and clothing for the chosen activity. See instructions at https://glaciertoursnorway.com/
  • To follow safety instructions given before and during the activity.
  • To ensure that no one in the group shows up to an activity under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If this judged to be the case the activity guide has the right to remove the customer from the activity, and no refund will be given.
  • To show up at the right place and at the right time as stated in the booking confirmation.

Guests may be held financially responsible for loss or damage to equipment due to their negligent or intentional behaviour.

The supplier is responsible for:

  • To ensure that the activity is carried out safely.
  • To provide correct information regarding time, day, pricing, age limit, what the booked activity entails and where it takes place.
  • Complying with all insurance, equipment and operating procedures to carry out the activity.
  • Assessing and removing customers who pose a threat to their own safety or that of others. Refunds will not be given.
  • Customers attempt and partake in activities at their own risk.

Force Majeure and weather conditions

Events beyond the organizer's control - significant weather conditions, transportation disruption, major theft, natural disasters and the like give Jøklagutane AS the right to terminate the agreement without liability. We reserve the right to change the date or cancel the event due to conditions that indicate that it would be irresponsible to carry out the activity. In the event of cancellation, the amount paid will be refunded to the customer.

Privacy

When you order, you must register an email address, name, address, and telephone number. This information is only used to contact you regarding the activity if necessary. That information is not used, sold or communicated to others.

By using this website, you agree that we can store cookies in your browser. "Cookies" - or "Information Cookies" - is a standard technology used by most websites today. We use the information we collect to make our websites better for our customers. The information is only used internally and is never passed on to others. We never store information that can identify you personally. If you use the "Remember me" or "Auto login" function, a cookie is saved that allows us to automatically log you in.

Right of withdrawal

The Right of withdrawal Act, Chapter 6, Section 22, refers to the limitations in the Right of Withdrawal Act. Point m) states that "the provision of accommodation services for purposes other than residential purposes, transport of goods, car rental services, catering and services related to leisure activities when the agreement stipulates a specific date or a specific period for the performance of such services, ". Individual services that are provided at a specific time or within a specific period apply to all products such as accommodation, excursions, transport and activities.

Norwegian law applies in the event of disputes.
